No, I wasn't born in a log cabin and wanted to be a realtor since I was three. The fact is that I was born in the panhandle of Texas and raised from age ten in the very center of Nevada, a town of 350 called Austin. Between then and now I have lived in Reno, Nevada; Alameda, California; and Georgetown, Colorado. So, if nothing else, I can truly say that I have lived coast-to-coast. Indeed I have owned and lived in everything from a double-wide mobile home to a lakefront contemporary, 8,500 feet high in the Rockies.
Now, along with my husband Lee and several of our six children, I live in Reston or "the Netplex" as the area is known on the Web. With AOL and much of the Internet economy here, "Here the Net, there the Net, everywhere the Net Net" -- are you singing along? Lee is a forensic psychologist (and licensed real estate agent). No stranger to Reston, Lee lived here during the mid-'70s while taking aim on his Ph.D. Our oldest child, Adam, also returned to Reston, bought the townhouse he lived in as a child, made the front page of the Reston Times, sold it for a profit, bought another Reston townhouse, and made us grandparents. Josh lives in NYC with his wife Megumi and is a media guy. Kelli, our only daughter attends Mary Washington College which she thinks is one tough school, but claims it has guys to sweat (?). Scott is finishing high school and Taylor (our little/big boy) attends elementary school while I'm out showing homes. |
